  1. Cedar Bluff Utilities Department wants to thank each of our valued customers, for your patience during the Suspension of Water Service, yesterday. This was required to complete much needed repairs to the Fire Hydrants located throughout our Town, to assure their proper function in case of a fire. Though we strive to alert everyone in a timely manner of such “shutdowns”, the limited local public information platforms in Cherokee County, do not afford us a quick method to deliver updated changes, as they occur, during such necessary repairs. Sometimes the Contractors we have efficiently hired, encounter circumstances beyond their control which can cause the conditions of the repair to extend beyond the timelines originally given to us and our customers. Suspension of Water Service is never taken lightly and “shut-down/repair times are approximate. Please know The Cedar Bluff Utilities Maintenance Team and outside Contractors, will always work diligently to ensure that Water and Sewer Services in our beautiful Town of Cedar Bluff, remains at the highest level of superiority and functionality.

    Sincerely,
    Chairman Mattie Williams

  2. The water will be turned off again today at approximately 11:00 AM from Neely St. to the bridge for more hydrant repairs.

  3. The water will be turned off around 10:00 AM today in town. This is to continue the repairing of the fire hydrants. We do not have an estimate on how long the water will be out at this time. The water will be back on as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience.

  4. Update on the Water Outage. We turned the water off in the main part of town this morning and due to some unforeseen circumstances we have had to turn off the water to the Country Store area as well.

  5. We would like to thank all of our customers for being understanding about the water outage. We do have one more Fire Hydrant to valve off. We are planning to work on the Fire Hydrant tomorrow. It is on Westbrook St. and should only effect customers in town. We will give an update tomorrow morning on the time and through the day if we have to shut the water off any other part town. We will also post update on the website and Weis WEIS Radio. We apologize for the inconvenience this is causing.
